The Energy Company Obligation

ECO stands for 'Energy Company Obligation'. It is important to note that the Green Deal and ECO schemes are not the same thing. ECO grants are provided by the big 6 energy companies to assist low-income households or those deemed as being in 'fuel-poverty'. This stream of funding is completely free for the homeowner or private tenant and there are no repayments to be made. Most of our energy efficiency work to date has been funded by ECO.
To qualify for the free installation of a new energy efficient central heating boiler (the free boiler scheme) or the repair of your existing one, funded under the ECO Affordable Warmth Scheme, ALL of the following

1. You live in a private property (either owned or rented)
2. You receive certain state benefits
3. Your central heating boiler is inefficient
4. Your central heating boiler has developed a fault
ePlan Energy can help you to access ECO funding if you are eligible. We can also help to arrange a 'blended' mix of Finance plans and ECO grants, which may be suitable where the amount provided by ECO doesn't cover the full cost of your installation.

Areas we cover include TF, WV, WS, DY, LL, CH, CW, & ST (Telford, Wolverhampton and surrounding areas)
